2.  Old Age - Building a life of integrity 

OUR SECOND PILLAR FOCUSES ON THE SILVER ARMY, THE MEMBERS OF THE FASTEST GROWING DEMOGRAPHIC- OLD AGE. SENIORITY IS SOMETHING THAT ALL OF US, WILL IN DUE COURSE EXPERIENCE FOR OURSELVES.

Keeping that in mind, TTBF is set out to establish facilities and provide resources that will cater to their needs, when they are unable to take care of themselves and continue to live a life filled with respect and dignity.

Areas of Focus

An age group of people who look back at their lives either with zest or sorrow,  old age is a phase we cannot escape. Anticipating different benchmarks through comparison with their peers, they set out to embrace their life with or without the support of their children. While it is difficult to accept, most elders will require care assistance of some sort beyond a certain age. An elder will be accustomed to doing duties by themselves without asking for help from family and friends.  But as age related circumstances arise, taking care of oneself becomes increasingly difficult. When they are faced with such a conundrum, they can live an easy and peaceful life within a community that will take care of all their needs- big or small.

TTBF also places considerable emphasis on helping elders who lack access or finance to avail medicines, food and medical support. By using your valued donations/contributions, we strive to help them benefit from the same.

Our Strategy: 

To build Residential Care flats for Elders from families who are unable to offer full time care and support due to settlement in different areas of the world. 

​

A residential flat would offer a more home-like family set up for elders. Services that would be offered would include food, assistance with daily living, but do not typically have a medical professional on-site. Limited, part-time medical care is offered, but it’s not a primary focus of this type of senior living community.

​

These residential flats are located in gated communities and neighborhoods and provide care for limited number of elders which helps in creating a more personal, home-style living environment. Since these flats are located within a gated community, inclusion with other members of the community of different age groups in various activities, will ensure they live a life of integrity and hope. 

​

TTBF’s own testimony towards their cause, have earmarked 4 Residential flats (under construction) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to accommodate such elders. Your valuable contribution/donation will help the elders in need live a dignified life.

TTBF also strives to identify individual elders or who belong to a group or community and provide them with materials and facilities related to medicines, food and medical support.
